The Foxcombe Story

1998

It started with the family farm shop

The Foxcombe Bakehouse story started more than 20 years ago. I first began baking cakes and pasties for our family farm shop in Lewdown, a small village nestled in countryside on the old A30 in Devon.
2003

A family move to Foxcombe Farm

All of our cakes and confectionary are baked from the aptly-named Foxcombe Farm with the family making the move in 2003 – the farm is just minutes from where it all started many years ago in Lewdown.
2009

A purpose-built bakery is created

In 2009 Foxcombe Bakehouse was beginning to build a strong reputation for great tasting, quality food. With that reputation demand began to grow, with a purpose-built bakery built on the farm to continue to keep customers happy.
2013

We win our first Taste of the West award

2013 saw us win our first Taste of the West award – it was to be the first of many with more than 10 to follow in the coming years.
2019

Plastic free packaging is introduced

2019 marked the introduction of plastic-free packaging. Protecting the environment and minimising the impact we have on it as a business is a core part of the Foxcombe Bakehouse ethos.
